Montana State Fair for Lots of Fun

The Montana State Fair is held each year in late July to early August in Great Falls. It's a great fair with lots to see and enjoy. May I recommend checking out the Food Alley?

Food includes such flavors as that of Indian tacos and fry bread. You can find many major fast food companies have set up concessions in Food Alley at the fair. There's the Arby's, Donut Brothers and Gyros of Montana amongst others. Be sure to sample the competing flavors of Taco Jacks and Posh Taco while you're there.

Visitors to the Montana State Fair should be aware that the organizers of the fair are actively trying to reach the record setting number of 20,000 entries for their competitive exhibits. This includes everything from beef cattle to photography. So be prepared for to view an obscene amount of interesting and unique exhibits.

The Carnival brings both rides for the kids and the adults at the fair. They specialize in bringing a lot of rides with unique themes. You can find a ride called Moby Dick, named for the famed Melville book. There are also rides that model themselves after the themes of a fire engine, the desert, the ocean and even a cobra.

Fair organizers planned lots of new things in celebration of the fair's 75th year in 2006. One of them involves the restoration of a 1931 Model A Ford in just the ten days of the fair, live! That must be a feat of in itself. There were also two new free concert stages added and two new vendors added to the fair.

Be on the lookout for extra big concerts offered at the fair's Four Seasons Arena. Mostly country music stars showcase here and if you love Country then you should have no trouble at all paying a little extra to see some of your favorite singers.
